Mommy of the year award!

Hmmm....just realized I haven't blogged since October. I feel horrible about that! When I don't write down our happenings-I forget them! Lord knows my kids have said and done terrifying, hilarious, silly, messy, news-worthy things since I last updated. Would you believe me if I said I was too busy potty training Gus?

If so-GREAT!!!! Because he is finally accident free day and night!!! Evan is doing well in first grade....so great in fact that he was recently told he scored the highest in reading out of the entire grade! He is so proud of himself!

Here's a few pics to tide you over until I can think of something interesting to write about :)

Gus "eating" donuts at Grammy's.

Evan sticker'd himself.

Things I love...

I love being Craig's wife. My favorite way to wake up is by getting snotty eskimo kisses from my son, Evan. I failed at my attempts to be a vegetarian...but still think I am a good person. I love to laugh, even though sometimes I snort and other times I sound like a dying hyena. I love when the electricity goes out. Craig and I get out our camping lantern and play board games in the dim light...it's actually quite romantic. He even lets me play clue because I LOVE IT....even though he absolutely abhors it. That's love. I love that my son told me yesterday that I was a "big smart mommy." I like the color yellow best, but look terrible in it (although I wore a yellow pullover jacket nonstop for 4 years until it literally fell apart.) I can honestly say I don't hate anyone. I have a freakish ability to memorize movie quotations, and can retell a tv episode so well that you need not even watch the darn thing. I love surprises. (Every so often, when my husband is leaving for work, he leans in for a hug and kiss and instead pulls me in tight and slow dances with me in the kitchen. I love that.) I love that I never knew I could love another child like I love my first born, but the second I met Gus my heart miraculously doubled.I like scary movies, but at the theater end up so scared that I either sit with the concession stand workers out front or spend half the movie staring at my husband waiting for him to tell me it's okay to look. (When I watch them at home- I've found that the key to watching scary movies alone is to mute the tv. You may miss something kinda important, but you won't be cleaning up pee off the sofa either...)I love when my son tells me he wants to tell me a secret and he cups his hand behind my neck, and whispers ssshupsupsssshpp in my ear. I am a good listener-but anyone who knows me well will say I'm a better talker.....
